For the kids - all of them.
I’m Lindsay DeFranco - a mom, advocate, and proud alum of Fulton County Schools. I’m running for school board because I believe every child deserves an honest education, every family deserves a voice, and our schools should be a place where truth and democracy thrive - not where politics get in the way. I’m here to fight for fairness, for transparency, and for every student’s right to feel seen and supported.
-
Fulton County schools should focus on facts, not fear. I will fight against efforts to censor history, ban books, or politicize curriculum. Education should reflect the real world and equip students to engage with it thoughtfully and critically.
-
Safety goes beyond security—it includes emotional and academic safety too. I’ll work to ensure our students feel respected, supported, and heard. That includes expanding mental health resources, empowering teachers, and promoting belonging.
-
Every student learns differently. I’ll advocate for more pathways to success—whether through project-based learning, support for neurodivergent students, or creative programs that meet kids where they are and help them thrive.
-
Parents deserve to know what’s going on in our schools. I’ll push for better communication, simpler updates, and greater awareness of how state policies impact local classrooms. No more decisions made behind closed doors.
-
Teachers are the heart of our schools. I’ll work to ensure they’re treated as professionals—not political targets. That includes advocating for fair pay, protecting academic freedom, and creating a culture where teachers feel supported, trusted, and free to do what they do best: teach.
